A tremendous competitor in all weight events, Art set the school record in the shot put. In addition, he twice earned All American honors in the hammer and also reigned as a Penn Relays champion. Art displayed the fire, emotion and inspiration which made him a natural leader and, as captain his senior year, he ran with the cross country team during their fall training camp. To this day, his shot (17.47m), weight (18.41m), and hammer (59.33m) performances make him Harvard’s best ever when combining those three events
