One of Harvard’s greatest athletes, two-time All-America at center and Harvard’s only member of the National Football Hall of Fame since World War I. Bulwark of a mighty defense, he was a fine blocker and an inspirational performer for three years, His baseball exploits were equally brilliant. A star outfielder for three years, he led the team in batting in 1930 and set Harvard career homerun record of 13. He won the Wingate Trophy in 1930, the Wendell Bat in 1931.
