Harvard Athletic Achievements
Yntema was dominate for Crimson swimming in the butterfly, winning the Eastern Championships in 1973 and 1974 in the 200-yard fly. In 1974, he won the 200-yard IM and 200-yard freestyle at the Eastern Championships as well as the 200 fly. Yntema also placed high in national events such as the AAU Championships and international events such as the Coca-Cola Invitational.

Remembering Harvard Athletics
When I reflect back upon my experience as a Harvard student athlete, my memories are numerous but always seem to point to the very first day I stepped foot on campus. During my collegiate recruiting process several top tier basketball schools courted me. I remember vividly the spectacular campuses and events I attended. And I remember distinctly recalling these events to my parents and Mr. Curran.
