Harvard Athletic Achievements

A steady, unruffled shotmaker, he lettered for three years and captained the team as a senior. He and Stimpson backboned the four-man team that finished second in the National Intercollegiates in 1926, losing by a stroke for the best Harvard showing in half a century. Last Harvardian to qualify three straight years for match play in the Nationals. Since graduation, he had won the hearts of many athletic generations for his devoted service as coach of junior varsity hockey.
