Harvard Athletic Achievements

Ben-Shachar helped lead Harvard to four-straight Ivy League and National Championships between 1993-96. He was the runner-up at the CSA Individual Championship in 1995 and won the CSA Individual Championship in 1996. He also won the Israeli Individual Championship and U.S. Inter-Collegiate Championship. Tal was a first team All-Ivy selection all four years at Harvard, earned two Ivy League Player of the Year awards, and a three-time All-American. In his senior season, Ben-Shachar was elected as the squash team captain as well as received Harvard's John Eliot Fellowship and won a Cambridge University Scholarship. In 1996, Tal received the Burr Scholarship and donated the prize to an educational intervention program called Project First Step that he cofounded.
