Harvard Athletic Achievements

Twice a letter winner in track and captain in his senior year, he was an outstanding leader to whom team victory meant more than individual glory. A consistent dial meet winner in several events, he also dominated the IC4A scene by winning the indoor two mile three times, the outdoor two-mile twice. In 1925 he staged the most brilliant finish in the 26-year history of the six-mile IC4A cross country championships, winning with his last stride in record time.
