Harvard Athletic Achievements

A legendary figure, he made a career playing baseball against Yale. Under the indulgent rules in the pre-NCAA era, he played six years of baseball – three as an undergraduate, three as a Law school student – and faced Yale 22 times in baseball, once in football to establish an unmatchable record. Played 166 baseball games for Harvard as a slick second baseman and captained the team in his junior and senior years.
