Harvard Athletic Achievements

First of Harvard’s great champions, in a game that requires catlike agility, complete concentration, and almost instinctive decisions, all attributes he possessed in abundance. His team was undefeated, and he himself won the national championship in 1925 and 1926 to inspire successive generations of great Harvard players. President of the Varsity Club, 1963-66, and a staunch supporter through the years of Harvard’s outstanding tennis and squash programs.
