Welcome to the HVC Marketplace!

The HVC Marketplace – where the HVC offers substantial discounts on products made by Harvard alumni athletes, with a portion of all sales benefitting HVC student activities such as the Welcome Back BBQ, first-year tee shirts, and select Career Services events.

In keeping with the great traditions established by the Harvard Varsity Club, we are excited to launch a new product line with Heritage Gear, one of whose Partners is HVC Lifetime Member and Hall of Famer Matt Birk ’98. Now you can carry your gear in style whether on a weekend trip or an excursion to the beach or gym.  Heritage Gear bags are crafted in the US with sustainable wool and leather, all brass hardware and zippers and built to last and hand down to the next generation of Harvard athletes.  Featuring the HVC logo on a hand-sewn chenille patch in crimson. Founder

Meet Matt Birk '98

A few words can be used to describe Matt Birk ’98: one of Harvard football’s best offensive lineman, a 1997 Ivy League Champion, and a 2012 Super Bowl Champion.

He was drafted in the 6th round by the Minnesota Vikings after 
lettering three year for three consecutive years with the Crimson (1995-1997) and being named a First Team All-Ivy Selection in 1997.  

During his 15 year NFL career, he was selected to the Pro Bowl 6 times, as well as being named the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2011 for excellence on and off the field.  Birk’s career culminated in 2013 with a Super Bowl victory as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.  

Currently, Matt and his wife, Adrianna, reside outside of St Paul, MN, with their 8 children. s a three year letterwinner (1995-1997) and a First Team All-Ivy Selection in 1997
